Provinces

Canada is a country in North America. There are ten provinces in Canada. The provinces in Canada are Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, British, Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, Ottawa, New Found land, and Labrador. 

Provinces meanings

Quebec is derived from an Algonquian word meaning ''where the rivers narrow''. Ontario means ''Beautiful water''. Manitoba's meaning is ''the space where the spirits speaks''.

Populations

The population in 2001 in Canada was 1,107,000. The population in  2002 was 31,414,000.

Animals

If you came to Canada you will see these animals outside squirrels, raccoons, and deer, wolfs, and bears. Mostly you'll see squirrels.

Longest Bridge in Canada

At just under 13 kilometers 8 miles in length, the comfederation bridge is the country's longest bridge.

Flag

Canada's official flag is since 1965.

5 Great Lakes

The five lakes under Ontario are Lake Huron, Lake Ontario, Lake Michigan, Lake Erie, and Lake Superior.

The lakes in Canada are Hudson Bay, James Bay, Lake Moraine, Lake Athabasca, Lake Beaver hill, Lake Bistcho, Lake Calling, Lake Claire, Cold Lake, Gull Lake, Jackfish    Lake, Lake Louise, and Maligne Lake.

Some cities in Canada are Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Mississauga, Red Dear, Winnipeg, Regina, Montreal, Churchill, Vancouver, Victoria, and Saskatoon.

Province Capitals

Capitals in Provinces are Saskatoon, Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg; St. John is the capital of Labrador and Newfoundland, Whitehorse, Iqaluit, and Montreal.
